Unfortunately a problem a lot of us have. There are some tips on styles and such on https://feminizationsecrets.com/ (I promise appears a legitimate site to learn tips.) I am new to forums I don't think linking breaks any rules (hit me up if it does) There are certain styles of tops, bottoms and patterns that help give an appearance of a smaller shoulder area. There are also other sites I have found before (cis females occasionally have the problem too so don't necessarily ignore advice for them either. Stressed, depressed, and irritated tonight.  IDK what my GF is thinking, or why my husband accepts what she does sometimes.    She got home from work this afternoon, grabbed a briefcase and a bag, and gets a snack from the kitchen. She kissed me and told me to watch her kids while she's away, and she'll be back in a couple of weeks. 🫨  Not even where she's going or what she's up to!  Just out the door and gone.    Apparently my husband knew something, because when I asked him where she's going, he says "Moldova, on business."  I had to look it up on the damn map!  I have no idea what kind of business she could have there.  Or why there's health insurance documents in her office for Belarus.  I can't imagine her going there...its so risky the USA doesn't have an embassy there anymore.  And if she's going to Eastern Europe, don't those places usually require visa to enter?  She probably had to get documents in advance...   So I'm mad at GF, displeased with my husband, and I can't understand how my partners are cool with this.  I'm curling up in my sister's nest at night for a while.  This sux.  😒      

Thanks April! I think the biggest question I have is on how to get a more feminine figure while cross dressing. I was a swimmer in college and have really broad shoulders and big arms. Any tips?

The last couple of weeks I have taken to sleeping with my breast forms and a bra under my nightwear. I was hesitant to cuddle up to my partner at first but she noticed I wasn't and asked me why. I explained that I was feeling a little awkward but she said I was being daft and that she wanted a cuddle.  This sparked a late night conversation, I asked if it had felt strange  cuddling up to someone wearing satin nightwear when we first started sharing a bed. She admitted that it was certainly different and wasn't something that she ever thought she would do but it never bothered her, she said it was nice and that she still enjoys it.  

Tomorrow is another day, so smile.

I haven't been out totally en femme since I was a teenager. I am six foot two and a very broad 15 stone so there is no way that I am ever going to pass. I do however occasionally go out as my partner calls it "under the radar" the last time I did this I wore loose fitting women's black trousers a ditsy print blouse and ankle boots with a very small heel. No one seems to pay me much attention. I am hoping to get out fully en femme later this year on holiday perhaps drive out to somewhere quiet and just sit on a bench with a coffee for a while.

I am a bit further along on this journey than you Kathy while being the same age.  Life is good right now.  I take the approach "do not lament the life not spent."  Its time we will not get back, nor can we go back to that life.  I look at it as preparing for the here and now.     My wife and I had dinner with dear friends last week.  We had dessert and coffee back at their home.  We're sitting by the fireplace and my friend asks "if you could go back to any time in your life would you?"  We had a nice conversation about this but all of us said "no", we've lived those days and they didn't need revisiting.  We also all agreed we wouldn't change a thing.  My wife and I have had a couple horrible events in our lives but we have grown due to them.  It didn't come up in the conversation that I'm transgender but I truly meant that I wouldn't go back.  I am who I am because of my lived experiences. And so are you!  Plus you (most likely) wouldn't have your spouse.  I love mine dearly and she loves me.   TL:DR  Never look back.

I started to accept who I am ten years ago, when I attended a conference where one of the presenters was a trans woman.  Up until that point, I had thought of trans women as rare, freaky people who starred in lurid news stories.  But seeing an actual trans women doing nothing more unusual than giving an interesting talk on a subject that had nothing to do with being trans, and seeing the audience accept her at face value with no snickering or whispering, opened my eyes to the fact that trans women are, first and foremost, normal people.   At that point, the rationalizations of "There's no way I could be one of them" started to change to "That could be me."  After a few months of checking out what it meant to be trans on another forum, I realized that, yes, that was me, and I started planning my coming-out.

Hi - I dressed for the first time last night. Just bought some stuff of Amazon and went for it. Have some more things coming tonight (breast plate). All I can think about is dressing again; work cannot end soon enough today!
