"Wow, so insightful - a really good read." — indeed. Thanks for the link. -

"The second post included photos of Ellis and said she might have participated in “another trans terror attack,” according to the lawsuit. That post received 4.8 million views on X, the suit states." “another trans terror attack”? I mean, really? These people seem to have lost all connection with reality. It would be funny except that too many people are too eager to believe this BS. If they can't find any real "trans terror attacks" they simply make them up. -

Kymmie, You are always in our thoughts and we are here if you need to reach out. I understand how some periods of our lives can seem darker and that we can feel alone. You're not alone. We are here with and for you. You are loved and valued. -

Things are not so good with me. My mind keeps going to the darker side, more than normal. Lately, it has been more that fleeting thoughts. Don't worry I'm to much of a coward to do anything. I just wish my wife would see my moods. That would help immensely. Yet, I cannot remember the last time she asked how I, myself, was doing. @Willow I am hoping to pick up the motor this weekend. The guy I am getting it from. Is taking the car to his mechanic to have it pulled yesterday or today. I will be contacting him today about it. Mine was considered a midsize in those days. Just a 2 seat, 6 passenger. Today, my wagon is bigger then some full size cars. Probably bigger than your Caddy. LOL. I just love going to car shows, every time I go to one I feel like I am home. Well I will keep plugging along. Hugs, all Kymmie -

Wow, so insightful - a really good read. About wanting to be "palatable" prior to coming out as a trans man - he was previously labeled as nonbinary by the media and pretty much just went along with it: “The pronoun question, I’ve come to learn, isn’t always intended to be a catalyst into an in-the-weeds conversation about gender. It’s to make sure that whatever word they say next doesn’t offend me. And so answering with a ‘whatever’ feels easier than derailing our conversation into the personalized gender studies curriculum that cycles through my head almost constantly.” -

Are you able to be compassionate to yourself - especially when you need it the most? -
By Heather Shay · Posted
Today, find joy in the simple moments and cultivate kindness, remembering that even small acts of compassion can make a big difference in the world. Here are a few gentle thoughts for the day: Embrace the beauty of everyday: Take a moment to appreciate the little things, like the warmth of the sun, the sound of birdsong, or the taste of a delicious cup of coffee. Practice kindness: Extend a helping hand to someone in need, offer a smile to a stranger, or simply listen with empathy. Be gentle with yourself: Allow yourself to make mistakes and learn from them, and remember to treat yourself with the same compassion you would offer to others. Find inspiration in nature: Spend some time outdoors, whether it's taking a walk in the park, sitting by a lake, or simply looking up at the stars. Remember your values: Stay true to your beliefs and principles, and let them guide your decisions and actions. Cultivate gratitude: Take time to appreciate the blessings in your life, no matter how small they may seem. Focus on the present: Let go of worries about the past and anxieties about the future, and concentrate on making the most of the present moment. Be open to new experiences: Step outside of your comfort zone and explore new ideas, interests, and people. Remember your strengths: Reflect on your accomplishments and the positive qualities you possess, and use them to overcome challenges. Practice self-care: Take time for activities that nourish your mind, body, and soul, whether it's reading a book, listening to music, or spending time with loved ones. -

Good morning As I expected, early spring didn’t last. It’s been chilly again but expected to be better on Palm Sunday. I kept waking up last night for some reason. 9 hour day today and tomorrow. Then I’m off for the weekend. Next week is the big show and tell. We’ve had people all over our store all week making sure everything was perfect. I wander what they will or have done about the wallpaper that was torn during the remodel and the loose security wires they never fixed. I can’t imagine they’ve left those hanging still with a loose ceiling tile. We will see. I guess they have 4 days yet to fix these things. @KymmieL when do you get the engine for the Buick? Is it a 9 passenger Country Wagon? During the car show week here someone had a restored ‘57. I’d forgotten just how big cars had been back then. Trivia time, who remembers the first toy to be advertised on tv? No, not Barbie but nice try. It came in pieces that you could use to change the appearance. Like Barbie they eventually made it a mate. that rules out slinky. no cheating, you can’t check the internet. give up? Mr. Potatoe Head. -
