Sending lots of love and positive vibes your way @KymmieL both for the job and for acceptance...even the transmission.    At least you've gained one more supporter in the family!!
    • KymmieL
Had something good happen when I least expected it. I couldn't sleep again so got up this morn at 1am. As normal I do a little surfing the WWW.  Our youngest is still up. He asks me if I still feel like transitioning. I say no. Then he throws me and says. If you did I would support you. I tell him the feeling is there but not acting on them.   My mind is like holey sheep dip. The first real voiced acceptance from him. When a few years a go we wound up getting into a brawl about it. kind of made my day. Now 2 of my sons accept me. now for my oldest and wife. Which I think is a unwinnable battle. But who knows.   Still haven't heard about the position yet. Hoping today. Still waiting to hear about the transmission for the wagon. Getting anxious to get her put back together.   Hugs, all.   Kymmie

Not my words. I learnt today that a local singer has released an album with that title. Those words struck a chord with me, and I just had to write about them in a different but relatable context to the artist, who was coming out about her sexuality.    The first person we ever come out to is ourselves. Take a damn good look in the mirror, etc.   I'm just wondering, how universal is the feeling that once we accept ourselves for who we really are, it is like we are meeting a new person for the very first time, at the same time as knowing that it will be a permanent, soul-mate type of relationship?

I can totally relate to that.   I used to think that to justify my transness, I needed to apply my femininity to the max. For me that didn't mean drag or anything; it meant walking a certain way or displaying other physical mannerisms that just weren't me (that said, certain feminine mannerisms naturally ARE me).    Maybe it was only six months ago, I'm not sure, that I had a bit of an epiphany. It was almost as strong as the one I had a few years ago when I lost all shame about letting my inner woman dictate terms. What I realized was that not all women permanently have their nails done or have their hair styled, not all women cross their legs while sitting, not all women shave their underarms every other day etc. I am far more relaxed just being me nowadays as a result.

Do you have the support to overcome any obstacle?

Hi JAKe, It does feel good to know your own name and smile. I'm happy you are out to you and sister. Being true to yourself is the most important thing in life and happiness. You have completed the most difficult thing and although it won't be easy you will find peace of mind. You have also found a support system and any question you might have, your brithers here will be willing to share their experiences and answer you lovingly and truthfully. YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

My wife and i watched this film last night.  Several friends had recommended it and as they looked at me had said"you will like it".   I found out why but won't say why band spoil the film for you. I will say you will enjoy it! One could only hope. Hugs,   Charlize

      Getting there. Thank you. ❤️

Hey Jake,   congrats on coming out to yourself and your sister, that’s a step.   As for your question, “Is it too soon?”   I don’t think it is.   If it feels right to you, that’s what matters most. There’s no rigid timeline when it comes to gender identity or transition. You don’t need to have everything figured out to begin showing up in the world as yourself. Go at your own pace, explore what feels affirming, and trust that it’s okay to shift and grow along the way.   Speaking for myself, navigating gender, embracing my truth, and letting it unfold piece by piece. Some things clicked right away, and others took time.   What helped me most was giving myself permission to evolve without pressure to have all the answers.   Best wishes on your journey.   ~ Lilis 💗

Good morning y’all it’s been a little bit since I’ve been in. I’ve been dealing with a bit of pain and discomfort with my SI joints and lower back I haven’t been capable of doing much. I also have been dealing with insurance to get some procedures approved.! Have been staying positive along with doing more arts and crafts I’ve been doing some paintings, which painting has become one of my new favorite hobbies along with coloring and Paracord crafts here are some of the work ive done lately and am going to attempt a still life painting as my next painting, wish me luck. All in along ve been happy to see the beautiful weather even though I haven’t been able to go outside to enjoy it. I know that I’ll be capable soon I’ve just got to get the pain to a more manageable level. Have yourselves wonderful day I’ll update as I’m capable.   Peace, Hugs and Happiness, Silas

Thank you for your comments people. It is much appceitated. I shall take all you said on board and adapt accordingly. It was a draft. Seeing where it leads me. I did write it in, perhaps in the wrong frame of mind. Ill take a step back and reword and rewrite as per your input where needed.   @Sally Stone@Vidanjali@VickySGV
