The camera, that is.

Honestly I think I look totally female with the make-up on..but I really love eyeliner..just don't like an hour later eyeliner...too messy. >.<And putting it on lightly makes me look odd...

Btw..yes, I dyed my hair again...In a few days I'm putting in red, purple and blue streaks...

I don't know if you want to hear this but I think you look female in the pics. It may just be the way you are posing for the picture. Your picture reminds me of the girl in the movie The Craft.

The bottom one looks slightly more on the male side- but the top one definitely looks female. :/ It's a very androgynous style, with or without eyeliner, though, so depending on where you are it could go either way. I've seen a few guys in that style who I thought were female.

It's definitly the eyeliner that's making you look more feminine- it's to even. Try using less, then sort of smudge it at the bottom to make it look more maleish- that'd probably up the andro a few points.

Hmmm, I always see your pictures and think 'male' so I can't see female o3o but you do have an andro-ish look (more to the Green Day/Jrock, punk side) with that eyeliner going on. I kinda envy that XD; I look like L in makeup, only not as awesome by any stretch.

The look with the tie and such, reminds me a bit of that androgynous-looking girl in TATU, when she was young. But if the eyeliner wasn't... I dunno, quite so bold? --it would look way more 'just male.'

But, then again. It is your style, and if you like it, I think you pull it off great. There are plenty of guys out there waaaayyyy more boldly-made-up than that, and still clearly male o3o TMRevolution? (okay, not a good example XD my mother thought he was a girl. See? It even happens to the celebs!)

You actually look really androgynous, though I would probably would guess male if I saw you.

If we're talking good news and wins, how about WA State legislature allowing for 12-month prescriptions of all non-controlled hormones (estradiol, progesterone, puberty blockers, etc.)!   https://app.leg.wa.gov/billsummary/?BillNumber=1971&Year=2025&Initiative=false   Sadly there are downsides: testosterone is a controlled substance, but must be covered in its maximal prescription length (presently 90 days); and it won't be enacted until 1/1/2026.   Still, a win is a win!

I completely missed this thread, @Joanne Grace but I am so happy to have found it today! It's so wonderful you've been supported at work, it's heartening especially with the news du jour over there. Absolutely love it!

Thank you all for your response. I did come out today. On Facebook of all places 🙄 The overwhelming response was one of support. No one seemed surprised. I wanted to come out on birthday, don't know why. It just seemed fitting.  Next week will be the challenge as I am on holiday this week. Most of my colleagues know but some aren't on Facebook so. I don't know if they know. Plus it means facing the public (I work in retail. But if people don't like it they can do one. I am me and that is all that metters!

@Trina I am not VA, I am retired military under Tricare (and now Medicare).  But I did come out to my military primary care provider a while back and they were able to both support and provide referral for gender therapy.  Also, if you have a Planned Parenthood in your area they sometimes offer similar services. But (for now) the community of health care providers should be able to (and required) to provide assistance in Gender Affirming Care.

This is a positive, especially considering the long history of Transgender members serving (although not openly until recently).

We had a discussion about this topic last night in the Trans/Non-binary Zoom Support Group I facilitate.  There was a common theme for myself and others in the group -- Striving to spend time on Creative endeavors - music, art, dance, etc. - or activities where we feel our True Self as the most helpful. Also the idea that there is actually very little we can do to influence the negativity so making an effort to avoid it as much as possible. I don't read/engage in political topics on social media, and I rarely watch the news much anymore.  I much prefer all the PBS cooking shows (and Antiques Road Show)
